One Billion

Apple is celebrating it’s 1 billionth song sold in the iTune music store with another contest. There are a couple of bad ass things going on here.

• The live updating countdown with recently sold songs cover art is the most noticeable.
• The insane amount of iPods included in the grand prize.

My personal favorite is the lesser mentioned grand prize item: a full-ride scholarship in your name to “a world-renowned music school.” Investing in the future of rock-n-roll.  That’s cool.  I’d like my name on something like that.
