More On The Gubers

CW 31, the new CBS affiliate in Sacramento, dropped some change on a cool little voter’s guide package for their site that allows you to compare statements and stats on the candidates. I thought it would be fun to compare the Governator to Art Oliver, the Libertarian candidate. I figured it would be good for a laugh. It was.

The last question in particular had me a twitter:

Q: How much money do you estimate you will spend on your campaign?

Schwarzenegger: “I am confident that we will have enough funds to communicate our positive message all across California. I am thankful to have the support and the resources to reach out to people in every neighborhood and talk about all that we have accomplished together in our first three years, and what we will do in the years ahead.”

Oliver: “$100,000″

It doesn’t get more black and white than that, ladies and gentlemen.

Remember, Phil Angelides and Arnold Schwarzenegger are the only gubers (as in gubernatorial) on the ballot who rejected the voluntary $11,150,000 campaign spending limit. The entire platform of the Libertarian party is virtually a custom tailored twelve step program for fixing California. It’s a damn shame no one here is into tough medicine.

Update: Phil and Arnold are the only two that did not include an actual dollar amount in their answers.
