We use 37signals' Basecamp at work. I totally love it. I also totally love their blog. The "Screens Around Town" category is my favorite. I have a screen shot of something that has always bothered me about Basecamp:
It's the "I'm done adding items" link that closes the entry form. I can actually see the explanation for this choice of words in the 37signals blog entry in my head.
We thought “I’m done adding items” was more concise, and would communicate the purpose of the link to our user base more clearly than “I’m finished adding items.”
For a company that scrutinizes the ever-loving crap out of every aspect of their user interfaces, the above quote, while probably never spoken with actual words, echos through my head each and every time I done finish addin’ items to my basecamp to-do lists.
