Thanks For Ruining My Day

I installed Leopard on my MacBook today. It took two hours to make a full clone my hard drive. It took two hours to run the upgrade. It took two hours for me to realize there was no way in hell I was going to get MySQL running today.

I estimate two hours for my Tiger restore to complete.

It is true, Apple is the new Microsoft, and Google is the new Apple…

I simply will not upgrade to the new OS until I know it works with Adobe CS3. The whole CS2 to CS3 Intel madness that I experienced was enough for me to hold off any new Mac OS until proven and debugged. Plus, the Mac OS is light years ahead of any other OS, so I don’t feel the need to upgrade something that I love already.

Google the new Apple? I have to disagree with that one. Google lacks graphic design taste (easily proven by their sweet new interface for SketchUp). Apple treats every element of creative/marketing differently than any other company beside them, and that sets them apart. They are innovative, take risks, and are leaders in the world of marketing and design. Google has the geeks, but not the taste.

Google can suck the fart out of my asshole too.

I’m ready for a computer break. If I could get steady work playing music, I would jump on it at this point.

Oh, and for the two hours I had it running, Photoshop and Illustrator CS3 seemed to work great.

Minus the fucked up state of MySQL, the ugly menu bar and default dock, it’s a sweet system. Of course minus the drunken hamburger eating, David Hasselhoff is a great dad.
