When I was 14, I got really into Wasted Youth. The band … The English band from the UK, not the hardcore band from LA. They’re kind of obscure. So obscure, in fact, that iTunes, Amazon.com, AllMusic.com, and Last.FM, can’t seem to tell the difference between them.
I just downloaded the Memorialize singles compilation from iTunes the other day, and was surprised to see how much criss cross confusion there still seems to be out there in the music channels. With the modernizations of information sharing since the 1980’s, you’d think that it would be possible for two or more bands with the same name to co exist without too much crossover.
That reminds me, my new band, The Beatles, will be playing at Ludy’s Main Street BBQ this Saturday evening.
